What is Industry on Campus?
Industry on Campus is a free, technical demos, student engagement event.
We would like to invite two of your engineers to demo of one of your company's projects to provide an insight into the work you do. The aim is for students to chat to your engineers about the work they do and what it's like to work at your company.
Feedback from students has told us they want to get to the nitty-gritty of what companies do, which isn't always available at careers fairs. Students want to know what awesome projects you're working on and what kind of people you employ; that's why we're specifically inviting engineers from your company to talk to our students. You might also find out about student research projects that are looking for industry sponsorship!
There are a limited number of demo stands at the event. You can request a stand by filling out the Google form using the button below. Lightning talk slots are now closed, however, registration for stalls is still open.
Stands will be allocated towards the end of September when the registration period closes.
How does this link with careers fair?
The Engineering & IT Careers Fairs are just under two weeks after Industry on Campus. We recommend you use Industry on Campus to meet students and learn more about them and let them get to know your company. You can then invite them to visit you at the Careers Fair for more information about job or internship opportunities.
Not going to be at the careers fair? Not a problem. It's okay for you to hand out business cards or a small flyer at Industry on Campus so students can remember you.
